This mini aussie puppies faq page answers the questions families ask us most often. We’ve kept the language clear and straightforward so you can find the information you need quickly. If your question isn’t listed, just send us a message — we’re happy to help.

Mini Aussie Puppies FAQ – Health & Testing

Are the parents health tested?

Yes. Every breeding dog in our program is tested for hips and elbows (OFA or PennHIP), eyes, and a full DNA panel that covers the major genetic conditions affecting Mini and Toy Australian Shepherds. We share the actual results with every family before they reserve a puppy. You can also see more details on our Meet the Parents page and review our full Health Guarantee.

Mini Aussie Puppies FAQ – Size & Growth

What size will my Mini Aussie be as an adult?

We give a projected adult size range for every puppy based on the parents and current development. Most of our Mini Aussies mature between 14–18 inches at the shoulder and roughly 20–35 lbs. True Toy-sized puppies are smaller, usually under 14 inches and 10–20 lbs when fully grown. Individual puppies can vary a bit, which is why we provide a specific estimate for each one.

Mini Aussie Puppies FAQ – What’s Included

What is included with each puppy?

Every puppy leaves with ASDR registration papers, current vaccinations and deworming, a microchip, a complete puppy pack, our 2-year health guarantee, the lifetime take-back promise, and ongoing support from our family for the life of the dog.

Mini Aussie Puppies FAQ – Guarantees

How does the 2-year health guarantee work?

It covers specified congenital and genetic conditions diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within the first two years. Full written details are provided when you reserve a puppy. You can read the complete explanation on our Health Guarantee page.

What is the lifetime take-back promise?

If at any point you can no longer keep your dog, for any reason, we will take him or her back. There is no time limit and no judgment. No puppy from our program needs to go to a shelter or rescue without us first being given the chance to help.

Mini Aussie Puppies FAQ – Travel & Timing

How do the puppies travel to their new homes?

Most puppies travel with an experienced flight nanny (in-cabin whenever possible). Private ground transport is also available for many locations. We never ship puppies as cargo. Full details are on our Shipping page.

When can a puppy go home?

Puppies usually go home around 8–10 weeks of age, once they are eating well on their own, have started crate and potty training, and have received their initial veterinary care.

Mini Aussie Puppies FAQ – Reservation & Visits

Do you hold a puppy or offer a payment plan?

A reservation deposit secures a specific puppy for you. The remaining balance is due before or at the time the puppy travels or is picked up. We explain everything clearly when you reserve.

Can I meet the parents or visit?

Because we are a small home-based program, visits are by appointment when appropriate. We are always happy to share additional photos, videos, and information about the parents. Many families also do a video call so they can see the puppies in real time.

What if I have questions after my puppy comes home?

We remain available by text, call, or video for the life of your dog. Many families check in during the first weeks and months with questions about training, feeding, or just to share updates.

How do I reserve a puppy?
